I haven’t done all that much today. I slept late and have been working on parts of etboo v2. Hopefully I will be done soon, I only have a few more big things to do and then it will just be little things.

Well, it’s been a while. There hasn’t really been much going on, other than me being sick for the past week with a sore throat. Thankfully that is going away, so hopefully I will be back to normal soon. This was the first time I had been really sick in a long time, and I hope I don’t have to do it again anytime soon :) Melissa finally got her film developed and pictures scanned, so now there are pictures of me on the internet. Here are the two best ones:

I haven’t really done anything productive so far this weekend, just wandering the internet. We did finally get paid yesterday and get the bills in the mail, so that is good. Also, from now on they will pay me direct deposit so I won’t have to go play “find the paycheck”. I have been talking to Melissa all weekend, and I guess that could be considered productive :) It’s sure better than wandering the internet and not talking to someone intelligent and interesting to talk to =)

Not much to report, yesterday I helped my friend that just got married and his new wife move into their “apartment” in ETBU married housing. The only real problem other than that the place is pretty beat up is that their AC is broken. After being on for 6 hours it was still over 85 in there. Hopefully they can get that fixed before they sweat to death :) I helped Melissa write an archive script for her webpage tonight. I am so incredibly blessed to have found a girl that I can code with. Never thought that would happen =)

I have been told I need to update this, and I guess I do. There has been a lot going on recently and I have been sick for the past few days, so that is my excuse for not updating this. Last weekend I went down to Houston to be in a friend’s wedding. It was a good trip, and I got to see Melissa more than I thought I would :) DSL has been working really great other than an outage we had for a few hours yesterday. I haven’t done much else of interest the past few days. Melissa has a new site design up at melissa.etboo.net. It looks really good.

I keep forgetting to update this thing. We ended up getting DSL almost a week early, so I have been setting up the servers and domains. It really flies, especially compared to the horribly inconsistent connection we got at ETBU. We are getting a pretty steady 1200kbps down and 109kbps up so I am happy. We had to go through a bit of an ordeal to get it all set up. I going to have to modify my earlier rant against SWBell. It is not all of SWBell that is worthless, only the majority of it. The ASI guys that actually do the physical part of the DSL setup have the best customer service of any company I have ever seen. We got special help way beyond what they had to do two separate times. Plus, they all seem to know what they are talking about unlike the rest of SWBell. If you are thinking about getting DSL or cable, DSLReports is an awesome resource. It has all kinds of information but the best part is the forums. There are ASI techs that hang out in there on their own time and will help out and push things through the system. I think that has to be the friendliest specific topic forum I have ever seen.
